Product details

Scotch 2228 is black and made of ethylene-propylene rubber (EPR) coated with a temperature-stable mastic. It offers excellent dielectric properties, is compatible with all cable sheath materials, and is resistant to ozone and UV. With a thickness of 1.65 mm, it is particularly well-suited for the quick installation of insulation and sealing, forming homogeneous, self-bonding wrap layers.

The product is especially resistant to environmental influences and moisture. At 80 to 100 percent elongation, it demonstrates good homogeneous bonding.

Applications: Production of insulation up to 1 kV, cable sheath replacement, and moisture sealing for all types of cables in both indoor and outdoor environments.
