The Woofer – The 16.5 cm woofer is equipped with Axton's proven Crystax membrane. The naturally warm-sounding paper membrane gains higher stiffness from an additional coating with quartz crystals, resulting in a more dynamic bass response and quicker reaction time. This makes the woofer sound very harmonious while still being accurate; it clearly highlights instruments and voices, which is particularly valuable for lively music or audiobooks.

For Tech Enthusiasts – The intensive development work on the ATS-FT160C woofer is impressive on paper as well. Klippel measurements demonstrate an exceptionally high level of symmetry in the force factor (Bl) and the spring stiffness of the moving coil (Kms). Even at high excursions, the same forces act on the moving coil during both the inward and outward movement of the membrane, which is a cornerstone for natural and distortion-free music reproduction. For optimal use in the vehicle door, the woofer has been tuned to a low Fs of 54 Hz and a Qts of 0.65. This results in high level stability and powerful bass while also providing a particularly harmonious and relaxed sound in the midrange.

The Tweeter – The tweeter features a 20 mm textile dome and impresses with its brilliance and spatial reproduction.
