QS18 Series "World Beam". The photoelectric sensors of the World-Beam QS18 series offer excellent optical performance in a compact QS18 housing, along with a unique space-saving housing design that serves as a direct replacement for cylindrical or rectangular sensors. The sensors provide reliable detection of the presence of a solid background and can recognize the color and shape of objects even with varying forms. The QS18 series sensors are available in opposing, polarized or non-polarized reflective, convergent, regular or wide-angle diffuse configurations, with laser, ultrasonic, plastic or fiber optic options, as well as detection modes with fixed or adjustable fields. An ABS housing with 3 mm mounting parts is included. Operating voltage ranges from 10 V DC to 30 V DC. An easy-to-use sensitivity potentiometer is available on retro and diffuse models (adjustable with a finger or screwdriver). Semiconductor complementary (1-pole switch): NPN or PNP (current sink or source), depending on the model. Two LED indicator lights are located on the top of the sensor. Fast response times. A 2 m connection cable is pre-wired or a 4-pole Pico connector with a 150 mm connection wire is available. All versions come with a mounting bracket; the polarized retro model also includes a reflector. Operating temperature range: -20 to +70 °C. Designed for IEC IP67, NEMA 6.
