The rain sensor can automatically control the operation of awnings or roof windows, for example. The switching polarity and sensitivity are adjustable. In the most sensitive setting, the device is also suitable for detecting fog. The optional mast or wall mount allows for easy installation.

The sensor area has been optimized to increase reliability in challenging conditions, such as heavy rain. To ensure this, the tips of the sensor area now slope at an 80° angle instead of pointing straight down. Additionally, the individual sections of the sensor area are now significantly narrower, allowing for more reliable detection of rain and snow. Along with the optimized sensor area, an automatic activation of the sensor heating has also been integrated. This is active only when the sensor area is wet and serves to quickly dry the sensor area and remove any snow residue. Furthermore, there is now an adjustable shut-off delay in the rain sensor, which can be individually set according to requirements to approximately 90 to 330 seconds.
