The 50 mm protective jaws are made of a leather cover with a pressure closure and are designed for attachment to our ball joint vice 9-205-K. The high-quality leather cover protects sensitive parts from scratches or damage. The pressure closure is a type of Velcro with very stable and precise fixation. By simply pressing together, where small mushroom heads interlock, a very strong but releasable connection is created. The pressure closure can be clicked in a crossed, offset, or overlapping manner. It provides a permanent mechanical fastening that does not come loose even under sustained vibration.

In contrast to a Velcro closure, this quickly releasable connection is characterized by high shear strength. The self-adhesive backing adheres immediately with excellent final adhesive strength, even at high temperatures and on rough surfaces.

Leather is durable, has optimal wear behavior, and water droplet resistance. The pressure closure has over 1,000 closure cycles, is made of polyolefin, is black, and has an acrylate adhesive. The temperature resistance is permanently -30 to +70 °C (temporarily +95 °C). It is food-safe, moisture-resistant, UV-resistant, aging-resistant, as well as resistant to chemicals and plasticizers. The dynamic tensile strength is approximately 21 N/cm², while the maximum static tensile strength and shear strength are about 160 g/cm². The flammability test according to F.A.R. 25.853 (b-2) has been passed. Unprocessed storage has a shelf life of 12 months at a storage temperature of 20 °C and 50% relative humidity.
