The Blumat provides water to the plant directly through its porous clay cone, from which the drying soil draws water. The water then rises from the adjacent reservoir into the cone. A lower or at least equal water level in the container is required for this regulating suction operation. The low delivery capacity is designed for the consumption of houseplants.
