Das preisgünstige Gerät (Marktpreis: ca. 18,50 Euro) zeigte sich nur empfehlenswert für Messungen bis rund 20 mm Tiefe unter der Oberfläche. Das reicht nicht, um grundsätzlich sichere Bohrungen durchführen zu können; für den Hausgebrauch in der Wohnung mit dünnen Wänden sollten die erzielten Messergebnisse ausreichen.
