The devices are designed for one-handed use, so it is not necessary to manually open the clamping jaws to secure the load. Simply position the carrying hook at an angle of about 45° against the edge and slide it down the plate until the desired carrying height is reached. The carrying handle automatically adjusts to the thickness of the plate. To release, simply push the handle down and outward at an angle.
