For TS 93 B, this system ensures the correct sequence when closing 2-leaf doors, allowing for individual hold-open of the door leaves. In the event of an alarm or power failure, the hold-open is canceled, and the door is closed by the door closer. Control can be achieved via an external (EMF) or integrated (EMR) smoke detection control unit. The hold-open function can also be triggered manually without any tools. It is suitable for DIN-L and DIN-R doors and can be combined with the DORMA TS 93 B door closer, with mounting on the hinge side. For doors where the hold-open point is above 130°, it is recommended to use DORMA EM holding solenoids instead of the electromechanical hold-open.

The supply voltage for EMR is 230 V AC ± 10 %, with a maximum rated output power of 9.8 W. The operating voltage for EMF is 24 V DC ± 15 %, with power consumption of 1 to 1.4 W for EMF 1 and 2.8 W for EMF 2. The duty cycle is 100 % ED.

The DORMA TS 93 G-SR-EMF 1, EMF 2, and EMF 1G systems have been approved by the German Institute for Building Technology, Berlin, for use with all well-known smoke detection systems; acceptance testing is mandatory. The DORMA TS 93 G-SR-EMR 1, EMF 2, and EMF 1G systems are approved by Deutsches Institut für Bautechnik, Berlin, as hold-open systems, with acceptance testing also mandatory.

Further technical features include a duty cycle of 100 % ED.
