Application area: This is a purely mechanical cable joint (branch joint). The joint consists of two essentially symmetrical half-shells that together form the actual joint body. The upper half-shell contains a longitudinal seal made of foamed rubber. The mushroom-shaped design ensures absolute water tightness through the pressure between the two screwed half-shells. The upper and lower parts are screwed together with stainless steel screws and nuts. The nuts are fixed in the lower half-shell. Inside the lower half of the joint, there is a strain relief before each joint entry. The introduction sleeves are made of EPDM rubber and are conical, allowing them to cover a wide range of cable diameters. The sleeves are cut to about half the cable diameter at the cable entry area. After splicing, the two half-shells are tightly screwed together.
