The motorised security lock is designed for situations where the benefits of motor-powered unlocking must be combined with the mechanical security requirements of lock models 309X and 409X. The integrated monitoring contacts ensure effective operation. The bolt is retracted by an electric motor and pre-tensioned by a spring mechanism. When the door is closed, the control latch guarantees that the pre-tensioned bolt is fully extended, and the double action latch is blocked, enhancing the overall security level.

The lock operates on the fail-unlocked principle, remaining locked during a power failure and can only be opened with a key or by using the internal door handle. It features a mechanical automatic locking system with a double action lock, making it suitable for both DIN left-hand and right-hand doors. The mechanical self-locking process controls the interaction between the double action lock and the control latch.

This lock is burglary-resistant due to a solid bolt with a 20 mm throw, achieving burglary resistance up to class 2 in appropriate door systems. It includes a panic function, approved in accordance with EN 179 and EN 1125, and is suitable for fire doors. The motorised unlocking feature makes it ideal for integration with door automation systems and is used with front door furniture. It also has a changeover function for unlocking with a key from the outside and includes monitoring functions.

The package contains one security lock and one operating manual. The locks in the model series 509X have a continuous follower and require front door furniture (internal handle or panic bar, external knob or bar). The lock can be actuated by a card reader, code lock, timer switch, button, etc., and is suitable for narrow style doors.
