The smart window contact reduces energy consumption in the home when connected to a radiator thermostat and alerts you to unauthorized access via the free Homematic IP app – even when you're on the go. Setup can be done flexibly through the Homematic IP app (in conjunction with the Homematic IP Access Point) or via a browser-based interface (with a CCU2/CCU3 central unit). Alternatively, the window contact can also be operated without a central unit: The stand-alone operation (Push-to-Pair) allows for the direct pairing of up to eight radiator thermostats (basic) to automatically lower the room temperature when airing out. Through the app, the window contact can be integrated into a comprehensive smart home system and used for security applications, for example. The cloud solution enables flexible remote access at any time from anywhere. If you prefer to keep the data locally within your home network, you can opt for setup via the CCU3 central unit. Power is supplied by two LR03 batteries, which can power the sensor for up to four years. For secure mounting, both double-sided adhesive strips and suitable screws are included.
