Deep groove ball bearings are versatile and consist of solid outer rings, inner rings, and ball cages. They are insensitive during operation and easy to maintain. Due to their low friction moment, deep groove ball bearings are suitable for high speeds. They are available in single-row and double-row configurations, as well as open and sealed versions. Sealed deep groove ball bearings are lubricated for life. The different designs are indicated by specific suffixes:
- B = modified internal construction
- M = solid brass cage
- TVH = plastic cage
- 2Z = Z-shields on both sides
- 2RS = lip seals on both sides
- C3, C4 = clearance class.
