The solution for larger PV systems: the Fronius Smart Meter CT current transformer can be conveniently connected to enable higher currents to be measured without having to disconnect the power line when connecting. This is made possible by split-core technology, in which the current transformer is placed around the line to be measured without the cable having to be disconnected for installation. The current transformer ensures that the measured current is converted into a signal that can be measured by the Fronius Smart Meter. The Smart Meter then converts the signal to the original primary current using the conversion ratio.
