Catch and release.

The live trap is baited with a tasty lure such as nut nougat cream, chocolate, cheese, etc., and placed in a suitable location. After a while, the animal enters the cage, and the door snaps shut. This way, you can catch the intruder alive and release it outside. Set the trap up on one of the animal's pathways. The ideal placement is parallel to the wall. Check the cage at regular intervals.
