The self-acting closure damper, designed to be inserted into the duct, prevents the escape of warm room air and the ingress of unwanted cold air when the fan is turned off. It operates automatically in both negative and positive pressure conditions (installation position is adjustable) through spring retention. For horizontal airflow, the axis of rotation should be set vertically. In vertical airflow, it only functions in an upward air current. The housing is made of galvanized steel sheet, the flaps are made of aluminum, and the return spring is made of stainless steel.
