WIC markers are applied to the cable simply by clicking them into place with the ergonomically designed WIC tool, or by hand if no tool is available. Just insert the markers into the tool, press the first marker onto the cable, twist, and apply the next marker. Once all markers are applied to the cable, they are pushed together until the locking mechanism clicks into place. Manual application is recommended for marking fiber optic cables.
