Use the Klein Tools Digital Tracing Probe to locate cables and wires in both active and inactive networks in conjunction with a digital tone generator. It features a responsive, durable, replaceable, non-metallic, conductive tip and a work light for use in dark spaces. A headphone jack allows for the use of headphones in extremely loud environments. Connect a tone-activated twisted-pair cable via RJ45 on the bottom of the device to obtain a simple wiring diagram. The status LEDs on the top indicate the continuity of 8 wires plus the shield. During normal tone tracing, the LEDs visually indicate proximity to the activated cable. A volume control and a 60 Hz filter ensure perfect reception quality in both analog and digital modes.
