Product details

Networking system for the lowest field level (binary sensors and actuators). Data and power are transmitted via an unshielded, geometrically coded two-wire flat cable (polarity-proof) between the controller and peripherals. The connection of the conductor is made using piercing technology in the ASI modules. ASI is standardized across Europe in EN 50295 and internationally in IEC 62026-2. AS-INTERFACE was developed to provide a cost-effective alternative at the lowest level (sensor/actuator level) of factory automation. It is often found in conjunction with PROFIBUS, INTERBUS, CAN, and DEVICENet. ASI stands for Actuator-Sensor-Interface. LAPP KABEL is a member of the user organization AS-International Association.
