To respond to the trend of medical miniature power supplies, Mean Well presents two power supply series with high power density: the MPM series in a closed form for PCB mounting and the on-board type of the MFM series. Compared to the size of the last generation of power supplies - PM and NFM - the new MPM and MFM series are only one third the size. The new MPM and MFM series also feature a wider operating temperature range, higher efficiency, and lower no-load power consumption. The design of these two series complies with the IEC / EN60601-1 3rd edition and ANSI / AAMI ES60601-1 standards, meeting the requirements of 2x MOPP and having a low leakage current (less than 80μA). The two power supply series MPM and MFM are approved for medical devices of Class BF with direct patient contact. Suitable applications include medical testing devices, portable medical devices, and medical equipment requiring extremely low standby power consumption.
