The PeakTech 1635 is an affordable and practical clamp meter for measuring small direct and alternating currents up to 2 A with a resolution of 1 mA. With the clamp measurement, electrical conductors do not need to be disconnected to perform a current measurement. The device measures the current indirectly through the surrounding magnetic field, meaning it measures contactlessly when the clamp jaws encircle the live conductor (single wire).
