The Gardena leaf and lawn collector (03565-20) is not ideal for use on a patio with stone slabs. Here are some reasons why: - The rotating brushes of the leaf collector need to brush lightly against the surface to work effectively. This can be difficult on smooth surfaces such as flagstones as the brushes do not have enough grip to collect the material. - The mechanics of the device are better suited to grass and other soft surfaces where the brushes can work effectively. It is therefore advisable to use the leaf collector mainly on grass or similar surfaces. For stone slabs, a conventional rake or other type of cleaning tool may be more suitable.

Does it also pick up wet leaves?

The Gardena Leaf Collector model 03565-20 is designed to efficiently collect leaves and debris from your garden, but it is not specifically optimised for collecting wet leaves. This model works best with dry leaves and light debris. For best performance, we recommend using this tool when the leaves are dry, as wet leaves can be more difficult to handle and could lead to operating problems.

Sorry, but my specimen is in the garage waiting to be taken away for disposal. On a tarmac surface, (dry!) leaves can be collected; on the lawn and in wet conditions, the grapples fly away as soon as a few leaves are stirred up. Maybe I'm using it wrong, but if you want, you can pick up the once used part (incl. 3 grabs to be reassembled) for free... (pheim7@iclpoud.com)
