Tried successfully with older models. I am not sure about XS.
This is more of a "phone repair kit" but I think it will do perfectly also for fixing a Gameboy. Either way, it's a great toolkit to have at home!

Black anodised aluminium spanner with plastic coating. Black blue. Very good feel and weight. Had nothing to complain about

That's probably just bad luck, but it's only 2.50 - there are other products that have much worse price fluctuations.
This sounds stupid now, but a normal Phillips screwdriver is enough to take a graphics card apart. :-) Well, maybe a medium one and a slightly smaller one....
