Difficult to setup, not fully homekit conpatible, disconnects constantly from the network
Somfy products and support suck, thats the simple review. If you have Somfy blinds that you want to control from your phone this works sort of. I am a professional IT person who has used Somfy products for years. In my new residence there were some blinds I wanted to control with Homekit/Voice. The setup was painful, I managed to get all the devices enrolled but still have not been able to get the bridge added to a fresh new homekit installation. All my equipment is new. The box shows an update is available but after 10 tries I it fails every time. No way to get the bridge into homekit either. I discovered that Homekit will in any case not support RTS blinds and if I really want it to work I will have to setup Homebridge - a lot of effort for a handful of blinds. Finally, since I setup the box it has not stayed connected to the wireless for any length of time, I tried the box close and far from my router with various usb power supplies. I dont' know yet if its the update that wont install, a defective device or something else. Somfy sucks but I am stuck with it so I will keep trying to get the connnectivity fixed for a while, otherwise I will have to return it.

Plugged in, connected, running
Integrating the remote controls of the io motors from Somfy into the awnings is quick and easy. A super part at a favourable price.

Perfect in combination with Velux external blinds
After installing electric external blinds from VELUX, I looked for a way to integrate them into my smart home. The VELUX device required for this costs over €100 on average. So it was very convenient for me that this Somfy kit promises compatibility with VELUX products for around €60.
Commissioning went smoothly. As Somfy and the Tahoma app are also compatible with Smart Things, I was also able to realise time-controlled or situation/sensor-dependent control via Smart Things.
The only downside: no power supply unit is supplied and the opening status of the VELUX blinds is displayed incorrectly in the Smart Things app. If 80% dimming is displayed there, the blinds are actually 80% open.
