Product details
RP-T2, thin sheet screw, hexagon head with pressed washer. Bimetal (stainless steel A2/steel), nickel strike, blue galvanized, coated for smooth operation.
Application area: Fastening aluminum and steel profile sheets to aluminum and steel. Mounting standing seam holders made of aluminum onto steel substructures.
Usage: Start the screw with increased pressure and low speed (approximately 200 RPM). Pressure can be reduced once the thread engages. After that, the speed can be increased to about 1600 RPM. Immediately before placing the sealing washer, significantly reduce the speed and tighten the sealing washer until it is slightly compressed. Recommended tightening torque for steel substructures is about 3 Nm, and for material thickness below 0.8 mm, 1 Nm. Recommended tightening torque for aluminum substructures is about 1 Nm, and for material thickness below 0.8 mm, 0.5 Nm.
