Product details
Accessory variant: Electrode
For use with: Thermocouple and fine wire welder
Standards met: RoHS compliant
The thermocouple fine wire welder is a compact, user-friendly device designed for welding thermocouples or fine wires. It is primarily intended for sensor manufacturers to produce commercial quality thermocouple contact pads. This welder is ideal for producing large quantities of thermocouples with unprotected contact points for testing and development laboratories. The L60 thermocouple welder is also suitable for mounting transmitters and RTD extension cables.
No special skills are required to achieve high-quality results, and most users can do so with just a little practice. The unit comes with a variety of user accessories, including foot switches, and is suitable for use with wires up to 1.1 mm in diameter, as argon-filled shielding is provided. However, a good thermocouple contact can be made without argon. The output energy of the L60 thermocouple welder can be set up to 60 joules.
This welder is designed for the production of commercial thermocouple connections and is suitable for users working with large numbers of thermocouples with unprotected contact points. It can also be used for connecting lead wires to each other and to metal surfaces. The kit includes a foot switch for practical operation and a pack of five spare electrodes. Replacement carbon electrodes for the 1.1 mm fine wire welder are also available separately.
