Magnetic contact detectors are essential devices for perimeter protection. They are used to protect doors, windows, and other entry points by triggering an alarm when they are opened. The S-2 detector is designed for flush mounting, meaning its components are to be pressed into suitably prepared holes in wooden or plastic door frames, window frames, etc. The S-2 consists of two watertight parts: the reed switch (magnetic) sensor and the magnet, whose faces should be in contact with each other. Moving one part away from the other breaks the sensor circuit, which is indicated as a violation. Additionally, the detector is equipped with a tamper loop.
The S-2 is designed to work with any alarm control panel that has NC inputs and can also be used in automation systems as a control element. It meets the requirements of EN 50131-1 and EN 50131-2-6 standards for Grade 2.
