Swaytronic - VSR Relay 12V 150A

Adjustable separation relay for disconnecting the starter battery from the auxiliary battery.

Function:
The separation relay ensures battery charging while driving and protects the starter battery from discharging when the engine is not running. It connects the batteries only when the engine is running, the alternator is charging, and a corresponding voltage is detected. The VSR is connected between the positive terminals of the main and auxiliary batteries. When the engine is started and one of the two batteries reaches 13.3 V, the VSR automatically activates, allowing both batteries (starter and auxiliary) to charge simultaneously. If the voltage drops below 12.8 V (for example, when the engine is turned off), the VSR switches off and disconnects the batteries from each other. This prevents the starter battery from discharging. This device protects sensitive electronic devices powered by the auxiliary battery from harmful voltage spikes when starting the engine.

Emergency start assistance function:
The device features an emergency start assistance function. If the starter battery has a low voltage or is damaged, the engine cannot be started. The Swaytronic VSR relay offers the option to connect the two batteries even when the engine is off. This can be done by manually activating the VSR in the off state via a button, allowing both batteries to be connected for 60 seconds.
