The device is used for comparative measurement of the moisture content of wood materials. The measured value is shown directly on the LC display. The direct value display in percent facilitates reading. Thus, the degree of moisture can be checked comparatively over a certain period of time. The measurement is carried out via two insertion probes which are inserted into the material to be measured. The insertion probes can be changed after a high degree of wear. The type of wood can be easily adjusted directly on the device for more precise measurements. It has a temperature compensation function to include the material temperature in the wood moisture measurement. Maximum and minimum values are optionally displayed and the unit has a switchable auto switch-off, a white backlight for the LC display and a hold function to freeze a measured value on the display. It also has a low battery indicator and is powered by 3 x 1.5 V batteries. A protective cap is included for transport protection.
