With a hardened steel blade, the slots of the strike plate or the steel frame can be widened to the left or right or extended up and down without replacing the blade part.

Operation:
Insert the notcher into the slot and press the lever together. If the cutting width is not sufficient for the lock latch or bolt to engage, repeat the process a second time.

Caution:
Never push the notcher to the side before the cutting process is complete. This strain can damage the blade. Always cut in one direction only, not at an angle, meaning do not cut on two sides simultaneously.
