The MD 9273 leakage current clamp is the new Bluetooth-enabled extension for Metrel's multifunction testers MI 3155, MI 3152, and MI 3325. When used together, they form a team for measuring data from a safe distance. The multifunction devices can record inrush currents from measurements taken with the MD 9273 clamp, display data in table or graph format, or be used to generate a 128 Hz signal that the MD 9273 can filter and utilize for cable tracing. When functioning as a remote probe, the clamp can transmit data on current, voltage, power, and harmonics. On the other hand, it is also an independent device with enhanced accuracy, construction, and new features, such as the VFD filter. It can accurately read the TRMS AC leakage current of a system, detect faults in the system, identify possible causes for the fault, sense harmonics in the signal, and perform basic power quality tests.
