Question about Blaupunkt Portable charger
at 380V 16A in the house, you can draw a little over approx. 7kw/h from the socket. Can this be adjusted in the device? Since only 16A and 11kw are mentioned, because in order to draw 11kw from the socket, a 32A socket would have to be available in the house. And hardly anyone has this at home and usually only in industry! Can anyone provide information?
Colloquially, this is referred to as 380 volts, but it has been 400 volts since 1987.
400 V sockets are always 3-phase, as the 400 V is applied between two of the phases (L1-L2, L2-L3, L3-L1) (delta connection) and the 230 V between one of the phases and the neutral conductor (star connection).
The power of a 16 A 400 V socket is therefore as follows: 3 x 400 V x 16 A = 19,200 W > 19.2 kW
Single-phase with 230 V comes from the same socket but only a fraction of the maximum power: 230 V x 16 A = 3,680 W
I have a 16A socket and can charge 11kW. You can't adjust anything on the device. Adjustments are made by the vehicle.
is 3.7kW single-phase maximum (on 16A) and 7.4kW 32A single-phase. In Switzerland, the grid is designed for three-phase appliances. So with a 16A 3-phase cee plug, you can charge at 11kW.
