Can this device be used to charge a 500 watt e-bike battery even if it has a BMS? At the moment, it has most likely burnt up my inverter in the permanently installed power supply of my caravan. Are there any devices that can be connected in between to prevent damage?

Hello, our experience: There is a 230v outlet to which we connected a compressor cooler during our 10-day holiday, alternating with the 230v at the campsite.I recharged it using the vehicle's cigarette lighter at the same time as the cooler was connected to the 230v. At home, I tested it on several appliances, including the TV, and there was no problem... I can't answer your question about your BMW, our Bosch bike batteries can be removed and recharged with a transformer...

Hello. I have already charged my bike several times. It's a Bosch with a 750wh battery and it charged without any problem.
