It has to be clean. So I did. The ribbon will hold strong for almost two years now.

I attached it to the window mark. I think if it is free of dust it certainly is. It is very strong.

The adhesive tape is basically made for plastic door frames but should also hold on concrete due to its high adhesive strength. You can also buy stronger adhesive Velcro tape at any DIY store.
