The plancha was a gift for someone who uses a WEBER Genesis II S-410 GBS and it fits perfectly there.
I use the normal Weber grill plate for my WEBER Genesis (1 generation) and it does the job. The only advantage of the plancha is that the hot fat collects at the back and runs off through the small opening.
The grilling result itself is the same for both.
