hello, does this type of tape adhere permanently to shag carpeting? I would use it to hide speaker cables on a black carpet.

Hi. This is more like a standard electrical tape, just wider. I just tested on the carpet. It adheres OK but can easily be removed, so I am unsure if it can hold the cables.
