Hello, I own this drill/driver and I'm a totally inexperienced DIYer. I bought it because I was told that its drill function would be enough to make holes in walls and ceilings for basic jobs around the house (installing a floor lamp, screws in walls for shelves, etc.). But either I'm really not doing it right or I've been misinformed. Should she be OK with this? It says it's OK to drill into masonry. Can anyone confirm that I should be able to drill through my ceiling and that I actually have a problem with the drill bits? or is the device not at all suitable for this? If so, what appliance would you recommend? As I said, I don't "ever" do DIY, so I'd like to have an all-in-one tool that's still good for these simple jobs. Thanks for the feedback from the community.
