The UV light is not emitted from the front but from a much smaller emitter on the side.

The UV light is not particularly powerful, i.e. not particularly bright, and can only be used as an auxiliary function.

The black light of the Ledlenser P7R Work torch is indeed not very bright. But it is not necessarily supposed to light up itself, but to make other things glow. As the torch is really impressively bright (even on the lower setting), I have also used the black light to find a light switch without "turning on the light". The UV lamp is perfect for this if your eyes are used to the dark.

I tested it. The UV is a small LED on the side. It's for checking disco tampons. It's not very strong.
