With darker wholemeal flours it's just fine, with white flour I reach the limit at 700g, as it rises much more airily.

Having tested it, 500 grams is fine, but 1 kg I don't think so. Especially as the bread is baked with the lid closed for 30 minutes (then with the lid open for 15 minutes). The bread won't expand in height with 1kg of dough.

That will be tight, my loaves weigh about 700 g each when fully baked. The tin is filled.
