The Philips Hue app can be used to programme the sensor so that it has different time windows for day and night operation in which motion detection is activated or deactivated. More recent updates even allow up to 10 time windows to control the sensor response even more precisely. For example, you can specify that the sensor only detects movement at night and then switches the lights on.
