Brennenstuhl Travel adapter CH plug
The adapter is intended for a maximum of 2500 watts, and it also says 16A on it. According to the manufacturer, the adapter may not be used for charging electric cars (fixed adapter is not applicable, as the charger is also used in the EU). But if I set an electric car charger to 8A (1840 watts) or 10A (2300 watts), does the ban on using it for electric car charging also apply? Nothing should happen if it does not exceed 2500W, right?
I think the duration of the load (heat development) and possibly even the danger of voltage peaks play a role here, which is why I would trust the manufacturer's specifications. If the adapter melts or short-circuits afterwards, nothing is gained.
Is there no type 12 cable or plug for the car charger, perhaps in a Swiss branch of the brand?
