The brush fire is loose on my Bosch GSR 12V-15. Sparks fly, smoke comes out of the device and the power collapses. Can the motor's carbon brushes be replaced? Where can they be ordered? Is it worth having them repaired by Bosch Service?

I ordered a replacement motor from Hasler in Winterthur for CHF 22 and replaced it myself. The result is a cordless screwdriver that works again.
You only need an M8 screwdriver to install the new motor, the motor is connected with plug-in contacts, so there is no need to solder.
If I were to buy a cordless screwdriver again, I would only buy one with a brushless motor.
