Depends on your FC. The device has many connections according to the manual. If your vehicle only provides ignition plus via CAN-BUS, for example, you can save yourself tinkering with the adapter (on my vehicle, for example, I took ignition plus from the cigarette lighter). The device itself does not communicate via the bus.
