The water temperature is displayed 7 degrees too high (34 instead of 27). Can this be adjusted or calibrated?

No, you cannot adjust/calibrate the thermometer. But such large deviations are rather unusual - check with a bowl of water inside with an accurate second thermometer?

Nope, calibration is not possible for the user.
You will have to replace it for better or worse.
