This product is no longer produced by Google and has been replaced by "First Alert Smart Smoke & Carbon Monoxide Alarm", a Google company. If I buy a Google Nest Protect 2 now, can I still use the app and be warned via the app? When will "First Alert Smart Smoke & Carbon Monoxide Alarm" be available at Digitec? The Nests I bought from Galaxus this year have a January 2034 expiry date, so usable for 8.5 years instead of the usual 10 so will be usable with the app until then. You can only see this when you open the box, and it is not certain that all expiry dates will be the same. I don't know when the new versions will be available in Europe.
