I have a Hyundai ix35 year 2011, does the part fit? Does anyone know anything about this?
Hello all
With the adapters as described by Mike, it should work. I installed the device in a Volvo and it had good sound. Unfortunately the handsfree phone connection via Bluetooth only worked one way from the start. (Listen only). But the microphone works. Therefore back in warranty and now I'm waiting for 6 weeks for the device.
Kenwood's customer service is a pain in the arse! You can only hope you never need it.
In the meantime I have installed a cheap "Chinese mono receiver" because I need the phone in the car, the cheap device works perfectly.
Greetings Peter
Hello BiGmasta73, I am definitely not an expert in this field, but I think it would fit. You would have to install a cover, otherwise you would have an ugly gap next to and/or above the radio. Here, for example, you can find such a panel:

But make sure that this is really the right cover for your car. There may still be differences!
In addition, you would probably have to buy a can-bus adapter. In modern cars, the car radio is almost part of the system and must be able to communicate with the other components (e.g. telephone control on the steering wheel, etc.). I bought the Kenwood for my 2014 Wrangler, and I had to buy such a can-bus adapter separately. Here is a page with such adapters for the ix35:

You'll have to check which one you need.
Hope this helps you. Otherwise, go to ARS24.de. Oli has also made a separate YouTube video on Can-Bus. The radio is definitely great! Even if the effort and the additional costs for the fascia plus Can-Bus might seem a bit high now, I think it would be worth it. And if you ever buy another car, you can remove the radio again and install it in the new one ;-)
Greetings Mike
