The fiber optic microscope CX1008 is used for inspecting the connector ferrule to check for surface contamination or damage. Controls include an on/off switch for the light source and a fine adjustment knob. The fiber optic microscope YW-400XA uses a white light LED for coaxial illumination. The light is introduced into the optical path (axis) in such a way that it exits from the tip of the objective lens and strikes the ferrule perpendicularly to the end face. This illumination method produces a high resolution, delivering excellent detail of scratches and contaminants.
