Since summer 2023, the electric locomotive 101 019 of DB AG has been operating in a special design. In collaboration with Fleischmann and Fahrtziel Natur, the locomotive now carries the message of climate-friendly and, above all, car-free tourism on its large side panels. The Fahrtziel Natur initiative involves major German environmental organizations BUND, NABU, VCD, and Deutsche Bahn, along with national parks, nature parks, and biosphere reserves in Germany, Austria, and Switzerland. All these regions can be explored and discovered in an especially environmentally friendly way by train. This provided a compelling reason for Fleischmann to support this unique collaboration. The partners for this special locomotive are the Saxon Switzerland National Park in Germany and the Hohe Tauern National Park in Austria. The designs showcase the impressive landscapes of each region and inspire a desire to explore them. The special model of the Fahrtziel Natur locomotive will be exclusively available at Fleischmann starting in autumn 2024. Secure this unique model for your collection!.
