Great Western Trail - Argentina is an independent game set in the Argentine Pampas. Cross the plains with your herds and trace the best path to victory! Arriving in Buenos Aires, you choose a ship before it sets sail for one of the great European ports. In the game, you move your cattleman along the trail to Buenos Aires. Along the way, you perform actions that will provide you with various ways to earn victory points, such as placing private building tiles, buying cattle from the market, improving railway stations, and helping the granjeros. Each time your estanciero arrives in Buenos Aires, you will have to send cattle and grain to Europe by ship, which may provide you with additional victory points. Then, your estanciero sets off on a new journey, which he usually makes 5 or 6 times. At the end of the game, add up the victory point symbols on the various components in front of you, those marked with your color on the board and on the city maps. The player with the most victory points wins the game. The game mechanics repeat those of Great Western Trail - Second Edition but include some new features including: ships that sail to port towns offering various bonuses, additional features of your livestock cards to make more strategic decisions, a new type of card to manage in your deck, expanded player boards with new sections and auxiliary actions, and a new resource to accumulate.
