The IC2000 refers to the double-decker fast passenger cars of the SBB in Switzerland, which were procured starting in 1997. These passenger cars, approved for speeds of up to 200 kilometers per hour, were originally acquired in five types (Bt, B, BR, A, AD), although there may be slight variations among them. Additionally, various modifications have been made since their delivery, resulting in seven types in the past and currently six different types. They are primarily distinguished from other European double-decker cars by the transition located in the upper deck. Following a comprehensive modernization of the cars, costing 300 million francs and carried out between 2019 and 2024, they will subsequently be referred to as IC2020.
